Maxwells Bar and Grill
Brian Stein opened the UK’s very first gourmet burger restaurant in Hampstead, London in the 1970s. A success from the start, Maxwell’s attracted a host of customers including some famous faces, including Peter Cook, Dudley Moore and Peter Sellers. There’s now also a Maxwell’s in Covent Garden and despite the multitude of burger bars that seem to be everywhere these days, Maxwell’s still maintains its reputation as the original and the best.
Overview
As you can imagine, a high-end, high-volume restaurant needs to provide the highest possible customer service. And whilst their original burger recipe is still as perfect today as it was in the 70s, they needed to move their point of sale technology forward to cope with the demands of customers in 2010.
Maxwell’s developed their own software, which was so successful they supply it to other restaurants. They looked to Box to provide the hardware and share their knowledge of the EPoS market to create the ideal customer interface. Box has worked with Maxwell’s for the past five years, so they trusted us to come up with a new technology solution to take them into the 21st century.
