Box Technologies to deploy the latest in digital signage technology at leading European retail fraud events run by Retail Knowledge
Oxfordshire, September 17th 2012: Box Technologies, the UK’s leading provider of customer interface technology solutions, today announced that it had signed an agreement with Retail Knowledge to become its official digital signage partner and event sponsor for the forthcoming Retail Fraud on the Road and Retail Fraud events.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary next year, these two highly influential events bring together key retailers from over 80% of the UK’s top 250 retail organisations. Designed and managed by Retail Knowledge, the organisation also produces the Retail Fraud.Com e-News casts which are delivered to over 79,000 UK based retail personnel.
As a sponsor and signage partner, Box Technologies will bring the latest in digital signage to the two events. Conference information, directions and timetabling are all areas where technology can assist speakers, delegates and other attendees to find their way around and make best use of their time. It also showcases the technology and provides good background information to support Box Technologies’ participation within the conference programme. Additionally, in retail master class studio sessions taking place during both events, Box Technologies will update the audience on how the integration of technology in the retail space can pro-actively enhance loss prevention implementations and combat the ever growing threats of customer and employee theft.
In the wider context of the event, digital signage is fast becoming an essential ingredient of the multi-channel culture of today’s in-store retail operations. It can improve the shopping experience, open new revenue streams and most importantly, engender loyalty from an ever more fickle buying public.
Speaking of the announcement, Paul Bessant, Managing Director, Retail Knowledge Ltd, said, “We are delighted to have Box Technologies as our Digital Signage Partner. As renowned experts in this field with a track record of excellence in solution architecture and installation, we will be hearing the very best of what is available to the retailer both in terms of improving the shopping experience whilst minimizing the risk of fraudulent activity.
For Box Technologies, Russell Willcox, Chairman, said, “We are pleased to be in a position to sponsor and support the Retail Fraud event in this close way. Retail Knowledge events provide the leading forum for those managing the very real threat of fraud within the retail industry. Both online and high street retailers welcome this venue to meet and discuss best practice and react to the latest trends and threats. Our knowledge and experience of making the best use of digital signage techniques gives us a unique understanding of the advantages for the retailer in terms of the customer experience, whilst understanding the potential risks and how to best minimize them.”
